After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Angele Bakes. After years of pouring love, creativity, and an abundance of decadent sweet treats into our community, Angele Bakes and I have reached a crossroads. Since launching Angele Bakes in 2021, the start of a new year has always been synonymous with hustle. I would jump in with unwavering determination, fueled by innovative ideas and inspiration. However, 2025 brings an entirely different energy and focus, and I’m fully embracing it. While Angele Bakes has experienced remarkable growth each year and the brand has beautifully evolved, I find that we are no longer aligned. 

Since launching my business, my commitment has been absolute, living and breathing Angele Bakes as I develop new recipes, flavors, product lines, pre-order collections and enhanced services. What began as a side hustle aimed at challenging myself and honing my baking and business skills quickly grew into a successful, in demand small batch bakery, sold out pre-orders, long pop-up market line ups and numerous Community Votes awards. I was incredibly proud! After all, I financed, managed, marketed and operated every single aspect of Angele Bakes. So much so that it became a part of my identity. I hustled day and night wearing my exhaustion, long 16-hour days, and absence of self-care like a badge of honor, trading precious moments with friends and family for extended hours of work. I felt drained and unwell, yet I managed to persuade myself and those around me that it was acceptable because Angele Bakes was thriving. Yet, despite the immense success and transformation of both me and the business, we have ultimately drifted apart, and we are no longer in sync. I was merely in survival mode, masking it as ambition.

This realization has led me to make some important decision including closing Angele Bakes. Following a long and successful career, I am now prioritizing self-care and nurturing my mind, body, and spirit. I am focused on cultivating a life that resonates with my true values and creating a harmonious work life balance that sustains me for the long run. I’ve realized that true success is found in a balanced life where well-being and happiness coexist with ambition and achievements. It's about setting boundaries, taking time for self-care, and nurturing relationships that matter most while embracing the joy of the journey, not just the destination, and cultivating a life that I love and cherish every single day.

The Angele Bakes journey has been filled with cherished memories and wonderful connections with each of YOU. While this chapter is coming to an end, the spirit of Angele Bakes will live on in the smiles, laughter and warmth we've shared with every conversation. 

It's a bittersweet moment, acknowledging the need to let go of something that has been so integral to my journey. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead, eager to embrace this next chapter. Angele Bakes will always hold a special place in my heart, a testament to what can be achieved through dedication and hard work. As I move forward, I carry with me the invaluable lessons learned and the unwavering belief that the best is yet to come.

As this chapter comes to an end, I carry forward the hope that our paths will cross again in new and exciting ways. Until then, savor every sweet moment, and remember: goodbyes are not forever, they are simply the beginning of something new.
