Angele Bakes is owned and operated by Angele Gladu, a self taught baker and recipe developer turned entrepreneur in late 2021 when she made the decision to leave her corporate job as a Chief Operating Officer to turn a growing passion for creating beautiful, decadent, high quality baked goods into a full-time business. Like most small business owners, Angele oversees and manages all aspects of the business at Angele Bakes and is the sole recipe developer and baker which ensures exceptional quality and consistency for all Angele Bakes products.
Angele's passion for baking is unparalleled, demonstrated by her continuous efforts to enhance and develop her skills. She understands that her journey as a self-taught baker and successful entrepreneur demands a steadfast commitment to learning and perseverance. With an insatiable drive to perfect scratch recipes, she delves into food science research, constantly experimenting and testing to achieve the best possible taste, texture, appearance, packaging, and storage of her desserts.
Angele is also committed to helping the Sudbury community and has provided sponsorship, support and/or baked treats for the Sudbury Food Bank, the Neo Kids Foundation, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer, Laurentian Relay for Life and International Women's Day Events.
When Angele isn't busy in the bakery, she likes to share information on a variety of topics including baking and business tips, entrepreneurship, owning a business and a variety of antidotes including personal stories and experiences and/or lessons she's learned and the strategies she has implemented over the past few years!
